Artistic portrait sculpture based on N.N. Miklouho-Maclay’s skull

    It displays the smallest details that create the uniqueness of the appearance.
    The sculpture portrait represents the scientist’s appearance close to the his real-life appearance (with an appropriate hairstyle, a beard and a moustache).
    The features of the bust reproduction of Miklouho-Maclay: the cerebral cranium is large and prevails over the face area; the face is narrow, elongated with a large lower jaw, significantly profiled; a high nose protrudes significantly; the forehead is vertical, wide and high; big eyes.
    The scientist’s skull, which is stored in the Peter the Great Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Kunstkamera (St. Petersburg, Russia), served as a basis for the reproduction of the lifetime appearance of N.N. Miklouho-Maclay.
